Continuous cooperation with the school and active support for students’ career development

At Sico d.o.o., we recognize that the future of Slovenian industry is inseparably connected with young people, their knowledge, and a high-quality educational system. This is why we have maintained a long-standing partnership with the Celje School Centre, where we support students in their professional and career development through expert presentations, lectures, and practical insights.

In early December, our HR specialist Ariana Kolenc visited the school and participated in two important events over two days, each aimed at different student groups.

Career Day “POTI” – Support for final-year students

On Wednesday, 3 December, she presented the lecture “First Job – No Panic” to graduating students. The presentation offered practical advice on preparing for job interviews, taking the first steps in the world of work, and approaching early career challenges with confidence. Such content helps students understand real labour-market conditions and supports their transition from education into practice.

Synergy of Education and Industry – Presentation of Sico d.o.o. to first-year students

The following day, on 4 December, she introduced Sico d.o.o. at the event Synergy of Education and Industry, highlighting ways young people can get involved in a real-world work environment. She emphasised:

  • practical training,

  • scholarships,

  • student work,

  • and other forms of cooperation that enable early exposure to technology and industrial workflows.

These programmes help students develop competencies that complement formal education and pave the way for a more confident start to their careers.

Excellent results of students at Robocup 2025

We would also like to congratulate the students of the Celje School Centre, Secondary School of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Media, who achieved an outstanding 2nd place at the international competition Robocup 2025. The event took place from 15 to 21 July 2025 and is one of the world’s leading competitions in robotics, programming, and automation.

With their knowledge, innovation, and dedication, the team demonstrated a remarkable level of technical competence – an outcome of intensive practical work, project-based learning, and cooperation with industry. At Sico d.o.o., we are proud to have supported their participation and contributed to the development of skills critical for the future of technical professions.

This achievement highlights the importance of investing in young talent and providing opportunities to compete on the international stage. We sincerely congratulate the students and their mentors, and we wish them continued success.

Commitment to long-term partnership

Our activities at the school are not occasional – they are part of a continuous, well-planned, and long-term collaboration aimed at bringing modern industrial processes closer to young people, encouraging the development of technical skills, and strengthening the connection between industry and education.

We believe that such partnerships help shape the foundations of local community development, increase interest in technical professions, and offer young people a clearer understanding of the career opportunities available in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, and the wider industrial sector.

We will continue to strengthen our cooperation with the Celje School Centre, as we firmly believe that investing in young people means investing in the future of our industry and our region.
