National record holder and the first Slovenian athlete in the ISU World Tour series enters the new season.
At Sico d.o.o., we believe that outstanding achievements are never the result of coincidence. They are built on countless hours of hard work, discipline, and a drive for continuous improvement — values that lie at the very core of our company culture. That is why we are proud to confirm that Tibor Komerički and short track speed skating remain at the heart of our sports sponsorship. As a dedicated sponsor, we stand alongside this talented young national team athlete, member of Skating Club Celje, and current national record holder in this dynamic sport.
Short track speed skating is one of the most dynamic and fast-paced winter sports, with athletes competing head-to-head on an oval ice rink at speeds exceeding 50 km/h. In recent years, Tibor has consistently set new milestones for Slovenian winter sports. As the first athlete from Slovenia to compete regularly alongside the world’s elite in the ISU World Tour, he continues to push his limits and lower national records across all three individual distances (500 m, 1000 m, and 1500 m), steadily building towards his ultimate career goal: representing Slovenia at the Winter Olympic Games.
Tibor Komerički and Short Track Speed Skating: Season Kick-off
Tibor launched his 2026/2027 campaign at the demanding event in Vancouver, Canada. The competition schedule at the top level is relentless, with the next challenge taking place this weekend (October 30 – November 1) in Montreal, before the tour shifts to Asia and Europe.
At Sico d.o.o., we strongly believe in Tibor’s work ethic, resilience, and long-term ambition. Supporting young, dedicated talents as they represent our country on the global stage is an essential part of our corporate social responsibility and company culture, and we are honored to stand by his side.
